Pa Turnpike Exit 343 Toll Plaza Demolition Countdown
The Pennsylvania Turnpike has been in the process of converting to fully cashless, high speed tolling that will not require drivers to stop or slow down. This has been an ongoing initiative for multiple years. By this point in time, the infrastructure for open road tolling is fully in place and operational in the eastern half of the commonwealth. The last part that remains is the demolition of the final remaining toll plazas. Exit 343 currently is one of the last of those toll plazas till standing, and in a move many drivers have been waiting excitedly for years to finally occur, the demolition of the former toll plaza at Exit 343 is scheduled to begin on January 12, 2026.
